Established in 1982, Highland Montessori is a small preschool and kindergarten dedicated to the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.

Established in 1982 Highland Montessori is a small preschool located in San Mateo near the Burlingame border. All of our staff have extensive Montessori training and our head teacher, Cecilia Walsh, holds a Masters Degree in early childhood education as well as a Montessori Degree from Notre Dame de Namur University.
Personalized attention for your child
Our small size classes, allow us the opportunity to spend needed time with each child using the Montessori equipment and environment. Our curriculum encompasses practical life, sensorial, language, science, math, geography, music, movement, art, computers and Spanish.
